Submission Guidelines

1. Types of Submissions:

THE LEX TIMES Editorial Board invites original and unpublished papers from all academicians, authors, legal professionals and law students in the following categories:

(i). Long Articles (3000-6000 words, excluding footnotes/references): Submissions under this category should provide an in-depth analysis of a specific topic, offering a comprehensive overview of the existing literature and practice. Articles should highlight any gaps in the field and present innovative suggestions for reassessment. Theoretical discussions are also encouraged.

(ii). Short Articles (2000-3000 words, excluding footnotes/references): These submissions are more focused, concentrating on specific issues and providing fresh perspectives and critical analysis. The argument should be clear and well-structured, offering alternative ways to conceptualize the topic.

(iii). Case Commentary  (1800-2500 words excluding footnotes/references): This category is designed for critiques of recent judicial rulings, legislative actions, or policy proposals. The analysis should trace the relevant case law or policy context and comment on its significance for the development of the legal field. Legislative comments should explain the purpose and potential impact of the legislative or policy change in question.

2.General Instructions:

(i). Long articles shall be accompanied by an abstract.

(ii). The Authors will be solely responsible for any dispute arising out of their paper including copyright, defamation, objectionable content or contempt and agree to suffer the loss if any, caused by violating copyright or any other rights.

3.Paper Format:

INTRODUCTION: Provide a concise introduction.

FONT AND WORD LIMIT: Utilize Times New Roman font throughout the document. Maintain a word count of 1800 – 6000 words.

HEADING: Begin with a clear and informative main heading.

SUBHEADINGS: Use subheadings to organize content and enhance readability.

LEGAL FRAMEWORK: Incorporate relevant case laws to support arguments and provide a legal context.

ILLUSTRATIONS: Include Illustration, Example to enhance understanding.- Clearly label and refer to illustrations within the text.

CONCLUSION: Summarize all the key points and findings.

CITATIONS: Adhere to a recognized citation style (e.g., APA, MLA, ILI or legal citation formats) for references and case law citations.

LANGUAGE AND STYLE: Maintain clarity and coherence in language and use a formal & professional writing style.

PROOFREADING: Thoroughly proofread the document to ensure grammatical accuracy and coherence.

PLAGIARISM: The permissible threshold for similarity index (plagiarism) is capped at a maximum of 15%. Articles surpassing this limit will undergo thorough examination and may face potential rejection. Adherence to this policy is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our publication standards.

POLICY VIOLATIONS: Plagiarized content and materials generated directly from AI Tools are strictly prohibited and will not be accepted for publication. As contributors to our organization, we expect originality and integrity in your work. Please ensure that all submissions reflect your own ideas, research, and efforts. Any form of plagiarism, including the use of AI generated contents is a violation of our policies.

5.Publication Processing Charges:

To cover the cost of our qualitative publishing services, the authors are required to pay a one-time Publication Processing  Charge for the publication of paper after the paper is approved and accepted by THE LEX TIMES Editorial Board.

₹199 for the Publication of 1 Manuscript.

• ₹299 for the Publication of 3 Manuscript.

No Fee is required to be paid at the time of submission of paper. Fee is to be paid only after the Paper is accepted for Publication after the review process.

6.Certificate of Publication:

(i) A Certificate of Publication will be awarded to the author upon successful publication of their article on our platform.

(ii) This certificate serves as official recognition of the author’s contribution to our publication and can be utilized for academic or professional purposes.

It underscores the author’s dedication to high-quality content creation and can enhance their portfolio, providing credibility and value for future endeavors.

7.Certificate Verification:

The Lex Times Certificates can be verified at any time.

8.Certificate of Excellence:

The top authors contributors in each edition receive a Certificate of Achievement for their outstanding publication, along with additional rewards.

9. Efficient and Prompt Review Process:

The entire review process is completed within 1 to 3 days, and the final publication, following payment of the processing fee, is made within 24 to 48 hours.

8. Internship Opportunities for Top Contributors:

Top-performing authors are offered internship opportunities to further enhance their legal skills and experience.
