NLSIU is seeking applications from highly qualified individuals dedicated to academic teaching, scholarship, and institutional service for the following positions:

1. Assistant Professor (Law) (Two-Year Contract) – 10 Positions (Unreserved)**

– Subjects: Contracts, Property, Criminal Law, Torts, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Company Law, Labour Law, Public International Law, Human Rights, Family Law, Jurisprudence, Civil Procedure, Environmental Law, Taxation Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Conflict of Laws, Financial Sector Regulation, International Trade Law, Professional Ethics.

2. Assistant Professor (Social Science) (Two-Year Contract) – 6 Positions (Unreserved)**

– Subjects: Economics, Political Science, Sociology

Role and Responsibilities

– Deliver an average of 6 hours of undergraduate and/or graduate teaching per week during the three twelve-week teaching terms.

– Develop and deliver lectures or classes, create lecture notes, course materials, and reading lists for both undergraduate and graduate students.

– Contribute to the University’s Professional and Continuing Education department by designing and delivering lectures and classes.

– Coordinate with other faculty members teaching the same subjects.

– Engage in faculty administrative duties, including committee service, depending on career stage.

– Participate in the governance, intellectual life, and academic activities of the University.
